I am a Spanish Rheumatologist currently working in the Ultrasound Unit of the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital. My passion for ultrasound is intimately linked to anatomy and led me to complete a Master Degree in Sport Medicine and a PhD in Human Anatomy and Embryology at the University of Barcelona.
I hold EFSUMB level 3 and EULAR level 2 certifications for musculoskeletal ultrasound and actively participate to sonoanatomy and ultrasound courses worldwide since 2022 as teacher. I am
faculty member in the EULAR course for synovial biopsy.
I have authored articles and book chapters dealing with anatomy, sonoanatomy, histology and ultrasound evaluation of articular and periarticular structure with a specific focus on enthesis that
represent the major target of my research in relation with SpA.
I am a member of the working group of EULAR on Anatomy for the image and of the Spanish Society of Rheumatology on Ultrasound and Ultrasound Guided procedures.
